Welcome to Autism Learning Worlds! A home for visual, interactive learning tools for children with mild to moderate autism
Hi there,
I’m Lauren Lashmet, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Autism Learning Worlds began in Room 214—my very first classroom as a special education teacher. Like so many educators and parents, I quickly realized how few tools actually existed to support our neurodiverse kids in building the real-life skills they need to thrive.
So I started making my own.
Over the years, I’ve developed hundreds of interactive lessons, animated social stories, and printable tools designed specifically for K–8 learners with mild to moderate autism and other learning differences. Autism Learning Worlds is the home for all of them—and it’s just getting started.
Here, you’ll find:
🎥 Video-based lessons that teach emotional regulation, social problem-solving, and everyday life skills
🧩 Interactive games to help children practice what they’ve learned
🖨️ Printable visual supports to use at home, in therapy, or in the classroom
💬 Tips for parents, teachers, and therapists to support calm, confident learners
This blog will be a place where I share behind-the-scenes updates, new resource releases, real stories from the community, and helpful strategies that make a difference for kids with mild to moderate autism.
If you’re a parent, educator, therapist, or advocate supporting a child with autism—I created this space for you.
I know how overwhelming it can feel to find the right tools. You are not alone, and I’m so honored you’ve found your way here.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re building a better learning world—together.
With care,
Lauren
