About us

We believe every child with autism deserves a learning space that is safe, visual, self-paced, and full of encouragement.

Our mission is simple: To help kids with autism build confidence, independence, and real-life skills—through joyful, visual lessons made just for them.

Meet Lauren

Founder of Autism Learning Worlds

Hi, I’m Lauren. I’ve spent the last decade supporting kids with autism—and building the kind of learning tools I always wished existed when I first started teaching.

After graduating from Duke University with degrees in Psychology and Public Policy, I began my career in education through Teach For America. I was placed in an under-resourced classroom with brilliant, sensitive kids on the autism spectrum—and quickly realized how few resources truly supported them.

I saw firsthand how these kids thrived when learning was visual, predictable, and designed just for them. That experience stayed with me. Over the years, I taught in autism cluster classrooms, earned a Master’s in Special Education from Dominican University, and later completed another Master’s in Learning Design and Technology from Harvard.

I created Autism Learning Worlds to bring those experiences together—to offer visual, self-paced, affirming lessons that help neurodiverse kids build real-life skills and confidence. Most recently, I worked at Stanford as a course designer, creating accessible education for medical professionals.

Now, I’m bringing that same care and design to kids—because every child deserves to learn in a space where they feel safe, seen, and supported.
